A tribute to our roots

As the day of Italy or the Festa della Repubblica is commemorated today June 2, Enel Argentina joins this celebration, which recalls the close historical ties that both nations have.

From 7:00 p.m. we illuminate the headquarters of the Italian embassy in Argentina, with the flags of Italy and Argentina.

The tribute to the Italian community in Argentina included the presentation of tenor Cristian Karim Taleb, played by Nessun Dorma, to remember the courage and hope of all the men and women who have migrated to our country to work and help build a nation.

During the presentation, we premiered the monologue "The secret of my Italian family", by Mauricio Dayub. An exciting story that connects us to the questions we all ask ourselves about our family. Mauricio tells how after an unexpected trip he crossed the sea to find out where he came from and what the secret was.

The Feast of the Republic is the national holiday celebrated on June 2 in Italy, and commemorates the popular referendum of 1946, when Italian citizens were called by universal suffrage to decide which form of government (monarchy or republic) they wanted for his country after the Second World War and the fall of Fascism.
