ENEL participated as sponsor of the Career “UNICEF for Education” for the third consecutive year. The solidarity marathon gathered 8 thousand runners in Palermo on Sunday March the 12. Eighty employees of the company joined the initiative.
Enel participates in this race regularly because the company believes that in addition to promoting the healthy life of its employees, it helps to reconcile work and family life, as organizers allow the participation of children. In addition it contributes to a good cause collaborating with the education.
Enel also had its own stand where a meeting space was prepared, with a physical education teacher to elongate before and after the race and a basket of fruits to replenish energy.
"I love running, I train a lot for this with the “Club Racing” team and I have participated in triathlons. In this case, I was able to unite my passion for this sport in a joint action with the company in which I work, which collaborates with an institution that gives so much for the children of our country," said Guillermo Bermúdez, part of the ENEL team.
UNICEF reported that more than 3.5 million pesos were raised for educational projects throughout the country. Julián Weich and Maju Lozano were the drivers of the event.
