Change of authorities in Edesur

The distribution company of the ENEL Group, whose head in Argentina is Maurizio Bezzeccheri, appoints Juan Carlos Blanco in the presidency and Giuseppe Fanizzi in the General Management.

Buenos Aires, April 28, 2017 - Giuseppe Fanizzi will replace Juan Carlos Blanco in the General Management. Fanizzi was born in Italy, is an engineer and has worked for Enel since 1983. He joined the group when he was very young and came under the responsibility of the High Voltage and Network Development areas in Italy. In 2010 he continued his career in Romania, where he was in charge of the distribution of the companies that the group controls in that country.

The engineer Juan Carlos Blanco, who has a long history in the energy market, now occupies the presidency of EDESUR and Enel Generación Costanera, also having in his charge the Regulatory and Institutional Relations areas of the group in Argentina.

Enel Country Manager Maurizio Bezzeccheri, in charge of the Italian group's whole business in the country, welcomed Fanizzi's incorporation and said: "This reorganization of EDESUR represents an excellent addition to the country and will allow us to continue to improve the service we provide to our clients thanks to the Investment Plan we have been implementing."

Edesur, leader in distribution

Edesur operates in Buenos Aires City and the south of Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area. It covers a territory of more than 3,300 km2, which includes two thirds of CABA and twelve municipalities. The company serves about 2.5 million customers. The distributor, a subsidiary of the Enel Group, employs about 5,000 people.
