We promote regional exchange between Argentine and Chilean plants

Regional integration between Argentina and Chile is enhanced every day.

Recently, two important Enel Group thermoelectric plants materialized an agreement to exchange a 97-ton rotor, which will be used as a replacement for one of the two Enel Generación Costanera gas turbines.

This equipment was sent from the San Isidro plant in Enel Chile, in the Valparaíso region, to the Costanera plant, in Buenos Aires.

The large team was escorted by police from Valparaíso to Los Libertadores International Pass. There, it was verified by the immigration and customs authorities and continued its journey to the immediate vicinity of the Costanera Sur ecological reserve, where the plant is located.

The lifetime of the rotor is estimated at approximately 12 years.

This management is significant for Enel Américas because it constitutes a milestone for regional integration, allows the use of resources to be optimized, adds greater flexibility and adaptation to processes and encourages the use of the best practices in the world.
