Enel Argentina was recognized with the ´Award for the Best Social Report of Companies in Argentina´ granted since 2001 by the Ecumenical Social Forum, in addition to receiving a distinction for its programs during the pandemic.
The evaluation criteria covered several dimensions: institutional, economic, environmental and social and the company was recognized for the integration that it makes of sustainability into its corporate strategy and for the work it carries out permanently to contribute to the achievement of six of the Objectives of Sustainable Development (SDG) of the United Nations.
The jury and evaluation committee was made up of experts, professors, leaders, cultural personalities and representatives of different religious confessions. The award is a recognition for the team led by Carlo Ferrara, Head of Sustainability and Innovation at Enel Argentina.
"Now that a difficult global situation due to the pandemic must be faced once again, the distinctions for those actions that show ethical behavior and that benefit the community remain valid," the Forum highlighted.
Enel Argentina shared the award with important companies from other sectors such as Banco Macro, Banco Galicia, Newsan, Profertil, Naturgy, Banco Patagonia and Renault.
During the event, the Minister of Education, Nicolás Trotta, and Maria Kodama, who announced the signing of an agreement to reissue the works of José Luis Borges, were present.
The official reflected on the work of the writer and his work on the teacher by stating that "how his work was a reflection of his own reading." In turn, the Minister of Culture of the Nation, Tristan Bauer congratulated and recognized the winners for their social role.
Alejandra Martínez, Head of Communication at Enel Argentina, received the award during the event that was held at the CCK Center.
