Edesur carried out a special operation in the midst of a pandemic to coordinate different work groups at the Bosques Substation, with the aim of carrying out equipment renovation tasks.
The new technology, which required an investment of almost $ 50 million, will improve the quality of service in the area.
The work carried out will provide security and reliability to the system, with an impact at the power level of 600MVA. This not only reaches the clients of SE Bosques, but also the entire corridor that it feeds together with the Substation Dock Sud.
In other words, it is an important improvement for the entire system that includes SE Quilmes, SE Calchaquí, SE Ezpeleta, SE Gutiérrez, SE Rigolleau, SE Sobral, SE Varela, SE Novak and SE Chingolo.
The change of two switches for more modern ones demanded tasks of approximately between 6 and 7 days for each one, since the old equipment was removed and new ones were placed together with all the necessary tasks for the reconnection of the protections associated with each equipment.
The work was carried out by a work team of 25 people, including personnel and inspectors. This added an additional challenge, since a special operation was coordinated to take care of workers in the midst of the health situation implied by the Covid-19 pandemic.
For this reason, a cellularization scheme was set up, so that each sector had its own office and bathroom to avoid close contact between the different areas that moved like bubbles. Sectors to wander were defined - according to the area to which the workers belonged - and there were shifts to intervene on the installation.
Edesur continues to invest in works to achieve an improvement in quality. More works, better service.
