More works at the Bosques Substation: service improvements for 400,000 customers

Our distributor Edesur completed another section of the Bosques Substation expansion tasks, whose first stage included the assembly of a new 300 MVA power transformer, which will add more safety and reliability to the 220 kV transmission system.

That is the third transformer of this type that Edesur's technical teams installed in the Substation, located in the Florencio Varela district, which required a total investment of $676 million.

The works, whose first stage ended in May 2022, will continue this month with the commissioning of a new 132 kV bar, which will provide greater flexibility in the operation of the high voltage system.

These tasks will generate a positive impact on the service provided by Edesur to some 400,000 customers located within its concession area in the south of Greater Buenos Aires.

Gianluca Palumbo, general manager of Edesur, highlighted the importance of this type of work, which seeks to "add power to the system to accompany the growth in demand, in the face of greater electrification."
