Enel Argentina presented last Wednesday, June the 21st, electric bicycles that soon will be on sale through the commercial channels of the company.
The event was attended by the undersecretary of Climate Change and Sustainable Development of the Ministry of Environment of the Nation, Carlos Gentile and the undersecretary of Sustainable Mobility of the City of Buenos Aires, Paula Bisiau. Enel's Country Manager in Argentina, Maurizio Bezzeccheri, hosted the event along with Global Communications director Ryan O`Keeffe.
During the event, attendees were able to conduct a test drive of the eBikes in a circuit around Plaza Francia specially assembled for the activity, and a model of electric Renault Twizzy connected to an Enel charging station was exposed. Bezzeccheri explained how these charging stations work and the V2G (Vehicle to Grid) technology that allows the car to be used as a battery to provide energy to a home.
At the time of presentation, Enel's chief executive in Argentina said that "as a leading electric power company, with sustainability and innovation as drivers, we will collaborate to make Buenos Aires the green and sustainable city we all want it to be."
In that sense, Bezzeccheri added that "with this initiative, we support the very important work that the City Government has been doing for many years in strengthening sustainable mobility."
