A 30-year relationship
The relationship between Confecat and Edesur dates back to the early 90s, when this SME was established as the first to provide work clothing for our distributor. At that time, production volumes were not that high, in line with market demand.
Over time, it increased until it reached about 2,000 pairs of footwear per year, in 2020 alone. It must be considered that, according to regulations, each operator must use two pairs of safety footwear per year.
But Edesur is not the only company to which Confecat supplies clothing of this type. It also does it to other energy distributors and generators in the country, steel, electromechanical, automotive and transportation.
In total, they produce 4,000 pairs of footwear per day, which means 120,000 pairs per month and more than one million per year.

But at Confecat they not only manufacture, they also design their own clothing and footwear models. In fact, they have a laboratory where quality controls are rigorously followed.
Roberto Tellini, commercial executive, stressed that they are "the only company in the field that has its own laboratory, where an inspection is made of all products that enter to produce or raw material, and at the end of that product resistance tests are carried out. traction, comfort and comfort notification ”.
The safety footwear used by energy distribution companies must follow certain standards in their manufacture: special grain leather with 2.2 millimeters thick, resistant steel sole, steel toe cap and dielectric. With all this, the product is suitable to have an IRAM seal which certifies its guarantee.
Edesur footwear must also have an anti-perforation insole that prevents the entry of sharp elements.
We are proud to have suppliers of the stature of Confecat, which not only provides footwear with the highest safety standards so that our operators work safely, but also supports more than 700 families in four Argentine provinces, which today are they are grateful to be part of the machinery that moves our country.
