In order to guarantee electrical continuity, our distributor Edesur is providing Alternative Energy Sources (FAE) to 21 schools in the Province of Buenos Aires, which function as vaccination centers in the fight against Covid-19.
The objective is that the freezers where the vaccine doses are kept do not lose the cold chain in the event of an electrical incident.
This week the operation began and FAE were installed in four schools and in the next few days all establishments will be covered.
The places that already have this team are:
* Wilde's Kindergarten No. 913.
* The Primary School No. 32 "Martín Fierro" in Avellaneda.
* Quilmes Elementary School No. 14.
* First School of Education No. 61 of Bernal Oeste.
Energy plays a fundamental role in the midst of the pandemic and, for this reason, FAE will not withdraw until the end of the vaccination period in the 21 schools.
For this, we also developed a protocol to identify these centers as priority in our systems: and in the event of a cut, the AEDs are activated to continue feeding the freezers where the vaccines are, while the incident is solved urgently.
"We put all the technical effort, procedures and logistics to adapt to the system and give these centers the priority required for public health and health emergencies", explained Emilio Gimenez, head of operation and maintenance at Edesur.
What is the FAE?
FAE is an advanced technological solution that offers more possibilities for containment in the middle of an incident. This alternative source is used, for example, in the homes of electro-dependent people to ensure that they never run out of power.
Its use consists in supplying electricity to the devices in the event of a power outage. The difference between the FAE and a generator set is that as it is a battery, it is charged with the electrical energy supplied by the network when it is running, unlike the generator set that runs on gasoline, greatly simplifying the logistics process and reducing pollution and noise energy.
This action is being developed in coordination with the ENRE and the Province of Buenos Aires.
