Pursuing Enel Argentina's commitment to the community and sustainable development, furniture manufactured with waste materials from the company, were donated to an educational institution.
This activity served as the final stage of a project that, from its very beginning, allowed us to work for the inclusion and integration of the most vulnerable sectors of society.
This initiative commenced with the donation of materials no longer in use to the Vivienda Digna Foundation, in charge of manufacturing furniture that is later sold at very low prices, so that low-income families can afford to buy such pieces.
The programme has enabled us to:
- Reduce the service cost related to the integral management of waste and reusable materials.
- Contribute to the community by easing access to low-cost furniture.
- Donate furniture to School No. 85 “La Esperanza”, located in Ezpeleta (Quilmes), province of Buenos Aires.
This way, we all contributed to create shared value, increasing business competitiveness and, at the same time, improving social, environmental and economic conditions of the communities where we operate.
