More than 80 employees of Enel Argentina participated in the 11th edition of the Unicef for Education Race, which took place in Palermo.
This sporting event, which brought together more than 7,000 participants from the city of Buenos Aires and the entire country, served for our workers to congregate in a different space outside the office and to build new links between the different business areas of our company.
With enthusiasm and a lot of energy, our Enel runners gave their best to reach the goal and collaborate with this noble cause.
It is worth remembering that the #CarreraUNICEF is an opportunity to support the work that UNICEF does for all the children. Secondary education is mandatory in our country since 2006 and the State makes great efforts to ensure access and permanence of adolescents in this educational level. However, close to 500,000 kids are not in school and only 45.4% of the students who enter regular high school, manages to complete it. UNICEF, together with the support of the provincial ministries, works to promote a quality secondary education for all the boys and girls who have more difficulties to achieve it. Therefore, through the race, we seek to raise awareness about the importance of the right of young people to access and finish secondary education, so that they have better opportunities for their future. Finishing high school is a right for all. That is the goal!
